# Using the miniconda installer to install Python

Hello,

I am working on a 2015 mac (Intel chip) with OS version 12.6.6. I’m trying to use the miniconda installer ([Miniconda — conda documentation](https://docs.conda.io/en/latest/miniconda.html)) to install Python. However, when I try to install the package I am recieving this error (see photo below). I’m not sure how to proceed. I tried to uninstall any previous Anaconda stuff I have on here, but I’m not sure if I was successful. Does any one know how to fix this error or could provide the necessary commands in terminal to fully uninstall any existing instances of Anaconda or python on my computer? Thank. you, Sophie
