Anaconda Navigator Loading Environment

Anaconda Installation and Running Issue (Stuck on “Loading Environment”)

Hello,
I’m encountering the following issues while installing and running Anaconda on my computer:

  1. Installation Process:

    • I download the installer and complete the setup steps. The installation finishes without any errors.
  2. Launching the Application:

    • When I try to launch Anaconda for the first time, I see the green loading screen, and then the application opens but immediately closes.
    • After this, it gets stuck on the “Loading Environment” screen and doesn’t proceed.
  3. Trying to Relaunch:

    • When I attempt to open it again, I get an error message saying, “Already running.”
  4. My Computer’s Username:

    • My Windows username contains special characters (e.g., ç, ö, ş). I suspect this might be causing the issue, but I’m not sure.

Steps I’ve Tried:

  • I attempted running conda update commands via the Anaconda Prompt, but since the application doesn’t open properly, I can’t access the Prompt.
  • I also tried restarting my computer and reinstalling Anaconda, but the issue persists.

Has anyone experienced this issue before and found a solution? Could the special characters in my username be the root cause of the problem? If so, how can I resolve this?

Note: I’m using Windows 11.

Thanks in advance for your help! :folded_hands:

I have the exact same issue, were you able to solve it ?

I’m going through the same

No major problems, just noting something kind of different. I use Spyder and I just installed Anaconda on a new computer and it doesn’t show in the Anaconda display of apps, but it is available externally so I can run it and it is linked to Anaconda. It is just kind of strange. No big deal, it works, it just seems inconsistent.
