Application launch error Jupyter Notebook 7.0.8

Hi,
I’m running Navigator 2.6.1 on Windows 11 and when launching the Jupyter Notebook 7.0.8 following error appears

I’ve already done a cleanup and reinstalled Navigator again but the problem stays active.
All tips and tricks are welcome :slight_smile:

Hello,

This issue can be resolved by giving full permission to the runtime folder.
Step 1: Right-click the File or Folder
Step 2: Select “Properties”
Step 3: Go to the “Security” Tab
Step 4: Click “Edit”
Step 6: Adjust the Permissions

Try to relaunch the Jupyter Notebook 7.0.8

I am having the same issues. I followed these steps. And all my permissions are checked for allow, except the boxes for special permissions, which it does not allow me to check either of the boxes. I am running jupyter notebook version 7.3.2. Here is the message I get for the application failed to launch window. Please forgive my lack of knowledge. I am just starting to learn to code.

Hi Michael,

open windows explorer and navigate to C:\\Users\\Owner\\AppData\\Roaming\\jupyter\\runtime\\

you should find the jpserver-4608-open.html file there.

Double click that file, Windows will give a pop-up, if you don’t have the right permissions to open it, asking to grant the necessary permissions. Confirm this and you should be good to go
