Winerror 216: The version of 1% is not compatible with the version of windows you have

I recently did a clean install of windows 11, and after that whenever I try installing anaconda or miniconda. It throws an error like winerror 216: this version of 1% is not compatible with your version of windows. I checked twice if I was using the 64-bit installer on my 64 bit system and it shouldn’t be the problem, I don’t know what is.

Hi @saad1, thanks for reaching out with your issue.

When you run the installer, can you find a file named install.log inside the installation directory C:\Users\gulmi\miniconda3? It should contain additional information which could help us understand what has gone wrong.
I’m curious, do you have permissions to modify the directory C:\Users\gulmi? Can you manually create/edit files inside that directory? If you can verify that as well it would be great.

Finally, is this a native Windows or running through some sort of virtual machine?

Best regards,
Robin Andersson

Thankyou for replying, I got to the end of this problem and it turns out that my command prompt had gotten corrupt which was the cause of the failure. I fixed the image and it works fine now.
