Announcing a new anaconda.org package experience!

We’re excited to share that we’re launching a major upgrade to the package discovery experience on anaconda.org!

What’s new:

We’ve heard your feedback about struggling to find packages and understand where they come from. The new experience includes:

  • Rich package homepages with comprehensive metadata, usage statistics, install instructions, and clear documentation

  • Improved search with better filters, faster results, and smarter matching

  • A new landing page highlighting package search, open source communities, and popular packages

  • Clear indicators showing which packages are covered under Anaconda’s Terms of Service and which are built by the community

  • Improved authentication: now your anaconda.org account is unified with all other Anaconda accounts, and you can sign in with your linked accounts, like GitHub. Note that you do not need to sign in to search or browse public packages.

How can I access it?

We’re slowly rolling out the new anaconda.org experience starting today, and will be fully rolled out to all users by the middle of next week (~November 25th).

We want to hear from you!

What do you think about the new experience? Let us know in a paid research study! We’re particularly eager to talk to package maintainers that use anaconda.org frequently. To apply for the study, fill out this screener: https://research.anaconda.com/anaconda/aghnj4zv You can also reply to this post with your thoughts
